Wesley Selected to ECNL Nike National Training Camp

90 of Top Female Youth Players in US

From July 28 to August 1, 90 of the top youth female players in the United States converged in Beaverton, Oregon at Nike World Headquarters for a once-in-a-lifetime soccer experience.  Among the 90 players was Payton Wesley from FC Wisconsin Eclipse.

The training camp featured 3 training sessions and a game at Nike World Headquarters, and a final game at Providence Park - the home stadium for the Portland Timbers of MLS and the Portland Thorns of the NWSL.  The staff included some of the top youth coaches in the world, as well as US WNT Fitness Coach Dawn Scott and multiple US Soccer youth national team coaches - including the head coaches of the U16 and U17 US Soccer National Teams.  The camp also featured some incredible off the field moments - including a talk with men's basketball legend Kobe Bryant, and a Q&A with US WNT star Tobin Heath and Portland Thorns star Allie Long.

Players were treated and trained like professional athletes throughout the camp - with lockers on Nike campus, top of the line training apparel, and so much more.  In short, the best players in the country, trained by the best staff, in one of the world's premier athletic settings.  Beyond being an identification opportunity for the youth national teams, the camp is also designed to inspire players to return to their clubs and raise their level of training in their daily environment, and thereby raise the level of play throughout the country.
