Exciting News for Fall 2025: Introducing Our U10 Pre-ECNL Team!

 

We’re thrilled to announce that starting in Fall 2025, we will be launching a U10 Pre-ECNL team—a new opportunity for our youngest competitive players to take part in the ECNL development pathway!

 

Traditionally, our U11–U12 teams have been known as "Pre-ECNL" because they serve as a preparatory step toward ECNL competition at the U13 level. These teams compete in official Pre-ECNL matches against fellow ECNL clubs, offering high-level development in an elite environment.

 

Now, for the first time, rising U10 players (2016 birth year) will have access to this same opportunity.

 

Why U10 Pre-ECNL?

 

This new program allows us to offer:

• High-level competition against other ECNL clubs
• A player development environment that reflects ECNL standards
• Minimal additional travel, keeping the experience accessible to families

 

It aligns with our club’s long-standing goal: to expose players to the ECNL platform earlier in their development journey, without sacrificing the balance between competition and accessibility.

 

Program Highlights:

• Training 3x/week alongside our U11 & U12 Pre-ECNL teams
• Local league competition at the U11 age group
• Exclusive Pre-ECNL match play vs. other Pre-ECNL clubs in the Chicago area
• Participation in ECNL National Events, making it the only “pre-platform” program with official league events

 

Tryouts & Team Placement:

 

The U10 Pre-ECNL team is separate from our FCW Youth Academy Program. All current and new players interested in joining the U10 Pre-ECNL team must attend tryouts.

For players who are more comfortable staying within our current Youth Academy environment—or who do not make the Pre-ECNL roster—we will continue to offer a U10 team as part of our FCW Youth Academy Program.
