FC Wisconsin Eclipse opens the 2012-2013 ECNL season on Saturday, September 15 with games against Sporting KC.  Every FC Wisconsin Eclipse ECNL age group (U14-U18) will be playing at FC Milwaukee Soccer Park in Germantown.  

"The pre-season has gone really, really well," said FC Wisconsin Eclipse Director of Coaching Christian Lavers.  "Seven weeks is a long-time to train without formal competition, but I think the players' focus and intensity actually got better every week, and we certainly improved in every technical and tactical area of the game during this time.  It's exciting to now get into the competition season and see the players compete against someone else."

FC Wisconsin Eclipse will be playing their first ever ECNL games on Saturday, marking a special moment for the club.  "We have been looking forward to this for a long time," said coach Monica White.  "FC Wisconsin Eclipse was founded to provide a platform for aspiring players to compete at the highest youth level in the country - and we start the competition phase doing just that tomorrow."

Sporting KC is also a "new" member of the ECNL.  The female side of the MLS club is a result of the merger of 2 former independent ECNL clubs (KCFC and Blue Valley).  The games against FC Wisconsin Eclipse will also mark the first ever ECNL games for Sporting KC.
