60 of the best players from across the Midwest gathered in Madison, WI on February 3 at the ECNL PDP - Midwest Conference event, including 10 players from FC Wisconsin.

The event included a training session and an "inter-squad" match, with players from Eclipse Select, EGA (NB), FC Wisconsin, Minnesota Thunder, St. Louis Scott Gallagher - Illinois, and St. Louis Scott Gallagher - Missouri represented.  Players from the U14 - U17 age groups were included in the event, and the level of play was as high as expected when top players from across the region come together.

The coaches working with the players included FC Wisconsin's Andy Lee, as well as Troy Fabiano from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee, and David Nikolic from Northwestern University.  The training session focused on "playing through the lines" - with emphasis on player vision and decision-making to progressively build attacks through the thirds of the field.  Players were selected to the event through a combination of recommendations and objective scouting, and represented many of the best players from the Midwest Conference.
